This project is located in an existing 12 story building in the Ladies Mile Historic District of Manhattan. SIMS is world renowned for its concern and management of recycling metals. Our firm was deeply involved with the layout and detailing of this 10,000 SF space. We worked closely with the client and as a liaison to the engineers to create an office space that exemplified their unique recycling driven culture. Repurposed cargo containers were used to accent and engage the office staff and visitors and provide a constant reminder of what their core mission is. We focused on these panels as they represent the industry’s life blood, serving as the primary device for transportation of their product and again provides an omnipresent reminder of what their company is all about.
