Synagogue conversion/Residential Building Project. Understanding how difficult religious institutions are fairing these days, a clever owner of one in the East Village made a deal to extend his building vertically and maintain a scaled down synagogue on the first floor. The remainder of the building was converted to Residential Condominiums. This proved to be challenging on many levels with various floors not aligning with precious stained glass windows and other significant building features. However, always willing to not shy away from such inherent challenges, we [humbly] rose to the occasion and produced a building that was made richer for it. As an aside, this project led the way for us becoming skilled and proficient enough to take on other religious buildings of various faiths.
