[1,700 SF] This project, a Design/Build effort was for a client that spent much time working abroad and wanted to return to a comfortable East Village retreat. Having a strong design sensibility, we helped to mold the vision and guide her through the difficulties. This joy for materials and textures was evident in the attention to detail that tested us as both architects, designers and fabricators. The centerpiece were four large glass and steel doors, which set the tone for other facets of the home which became sympathetically emulated (custom Juliette balcony) or used as a foil to react against (custom panels millwork/kitchen cabinetry).
